This was rendered in Maya, rather than Sculptris. Took a bit of tweaking to get the bump map looking right, but I figured it out.

At last, the Red Dragon is finished. This is just a still image, but I'm planning to attempt to animate it. It's been rigged, but I have a lot of tweaking to do on the skin weights.

I started this several days ago, and have been working on it during breaks while I complete an online Defensive Driving course. It is my very first 3D model using Sculptris, which is free and really awesome. You can paint textures and bump mapping in the modeling program. No need to use photoshop, but you can if you want.

This model is based on Todd Lockwood's illustrations in the Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Draconomicon, and it's my favorite incarnation of the classic D&D Red Dragon.

If I can figure out how to do so, I will attempt to upload any worthy animations I can create with this dragon.

This was created using Sculptris and nothing else! I'm too cheap to buy Zbrush. D:
